Heeelllo, Newman...Heeelllo, Jerry. I LOVE Newman! My hands-down favorite sociopath. OMG, Founder, that was funny!! Thanks, Nan, for the phunny!!— November 19, 2010 8:48 a.m.
Poi and Poke It Ain't at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue
Actually, Refried, I think Ed has reviewed a McDonalds before. It's about bang for your buck, but I hear you. I like when the out of reach mom and pops get their due rather than a corporate chain as well.— November 17, 2010 1:52 p.m.
What do you wish you could afford?
Don't forget the 'cigs ;). Actually, this was a refreshingly unselfish group of interviewees. An electric car, a lab to cure aids, the ability to retire to learn and help, just ONE day at the spa to refresh, an instrument, and the ability to travel. My faith in mankind has been restored!! Nice job, San Diego!!— November 17, 2010 1:49 p.m.
David Elliott’s Declaration of Pleasure
At least The Loma is a bookstore. I would be horrified if they turned in into a "Wings" like the OB theatre. Great debut!! Three stars and welcome! I also like that you "star" the movies on your web critique. I missed you when you "left" the UT. Nice to have you back.— November 17, 2010 1:04 p.m.
What do you wish you could afford?
Pining for "things" is unimportant. "Luxuries unfit us for returning to hardships easily endured before." Mary Mapes Dodge— November 17, 2010 12:55 p.m.
David Copley Unloads His Jet on Texan Bobby Patton
Re marrying Copley: There isn't enough scotch in the world. I had no idea he had a heart transplant. I always attributed his floridness to a fondness for food and drink. Could it be the result of anti-rejection drugs, or did he just continue to "Larry Hagman" after receiving his new organ?— November 17, 2010 10:40 a.m.
Florida Man Shot Outside Rosarito Beach Bakery
FYI: David Elliott, former movie critic for the Union-Tribune, will be replacing Duncan.— November 13, 2010 5:24 p.m.
