Morbid Curiosity
My palate loves everything. Right now I am munching on wasabi peas and drinking a nice Shiraz - two great tastes that go great together!— March 14, 2010 5:39 p.m.

Doesn't it? I must have one and soon. When I clicked on the link I literally gasped. Yes, I will get some of that delicious-sounding bev to serve with dessert. Thanks for the tip, Anti!— March 14, 2010 5:02 p.m.
Who Put the Dogs Out?
"While she's found a little marketing tool to line her pockets" Why so mean-spirited? I know Dori really well, and I can personally attest that she walks the walk. She owns a pit bull named Bernice, who is the sweetest dog you would ever want to meet. She also used to work in real estate, and encountered clients who owned high-risk breeds (I use that term loosely, as most of these breeds are friendly, it is their jerk owners that are the problem) and had difficulty obtaining insurance for their new homes. It was an obvious good fit when she got into insurance, to help others in this predicament. Anything that can be done to save the life of an innocent animal is an act of grace, not greed. She does this because she cares. I just got back from the Humane Society and while there I spent some time with a pit bull named Gwen. Gwen has scars, her ears were cut to nubs, and she had recently birthed a litter. Why she was there I do not know, but she was so starved for love that she was practically putty in my hands. Gwen will most likely not be adopted. You obviously work for a competitor and your business is down. Your bitterness is palpable.— March 14, 2010 4:58 p.m.
Morbid Curiosity
I just saw an ad for a more palatable oddity - an unlikely food pairing that made me think of you and also want to RUN to this place as quickly as possible and get one myself - it was for a cupcake place, and, get this - for an organic, dark-chocolate, Cabernet cupcake with a sweet and savory brie cheese frosting topped with caramelized walnuts. Doesn't that sound divine?— March 14, 2010 12:41 p.m.
Can't Drink Gas
Gotta love the disclaimer. Lest he be accused of being an alcohol-loving, Godless heathen and promoter of all things debaucherous. Which we know no self-respecting politician would engage in....... We have a name for those certain individuals who feel the need to bring to market all the negative reasons for not moving forward with something that is obviously good for the community - the progress opposition team. This happens in the work environment all the time. People don't like change. Nice reporting.— March 14, 2010 9:58 a.m.

Are you checking off which neighborhood you want it to post to every time you edit? I did that a couple of times. Or I should say I didn't do that. If you are going back and tweaking your blog, you have to repost it to your neighborhood of choice. It does not automatically save the information when you edit.— March 14, 2010 9:43 a.m.

"The reason he stereotypes you and Grant and AG is because you keep on feeding it." "Pete might have read it before I did, I couldn't say. I considered that he was probably referring to one of Ms. Grant's posts." Hmmmm. I posted four times on this thread. Don't bring me into this. I have said my piece and am done with this. Like I said before, it is stupid. Yesterday I road my bike down to the tidepools at the lighthouse, went to see Crazy Heart, watched Sunshine Cleaning, and then cooked a wonderful dinner for my husband. I come back and you are still playing "Where's Waldo?". I suggest healthier activities. Just a suggestion.— March 14, 2010 9:20 a.m.
Update: Beautiful Jessie has come home! And: What we learned about lost/found animals
Anti and SD, your thoughtful and well-researched contributions saved someone a lifetime of grief. Victoria was planning her wedding grieving for her baby. I could not imagine her pain of trying to participate in planning a happy event knowing that her FAMILY was missing. Because that is what pets become. Hearing her story of how this kitty traveled with her through her life's events tore at my heart and there is no way that someone who does not have a lifelong pet companion could understand. She can move forward with her wedding plans now with the happiness she deserves. I cannot give you both enough props. Hikarat hatov.— March 13, 2010 7:59 p.m.
Lily, Sweet and Silly
One thing - if you posted found posters, do not put a picture of the cat on it. Make the person calling described her down to the last detail. People can and do make money selling animals to medical testing facilities.— March 12, 2010 8:27 p.m.
