Dark Cloud
And what does "being a bitch and not following the rules" mean? Not kissing the ass of some meathead working the door?!? Ladies, you are better than this.— June 1, 2012 1:20 p.m.
Dark Cloud
Thank god I am old. I will never have to deal with another doorman again at places like the Douchie Room. Reminds me of the a**hat that worked South Beach in O.B. Shame on her friends for caring more about future entry to this bastion of doucheosity rather than have her back. Desperate.— June 1, 2012 1:12 p.m.

John Brizzolara’s Last Column
John, I've been reading your column for years, and ONLY because they were about you. I could not give a crap about San Diego "lite" - I preferred the real stuff. I really hope you keep writing for the Reader. One of my favorite memories will always be us having lunch at Whole Foods and you telling me about your dad. You stay well.— March 21, 2012 7:26 p.m.
Take a Hikey, Mikey
Oh, dear lord. Tweek much?!? Gives new validity to the "only a face for radio" stereotype. Just like politics is show biz for ugly people, this proves that some people are really unaware of how awful they really are.— March 15, 2012 6:14 p.m.
Neighbors have been calling the San Diego police for four years
Sounds like upper residential Ocean Beach.— March 7, 2012 2:13 p.m.
Manchester Resort Cited for Land Use, Environmental Violations
Ponzi, an op-Ed piece by Roger Hedgecock was almost enough to make me pull the cancel trigger. I get the NY Times and keep the UT mostly for laughs these days.— January 26, 2012 12:06 p.m.
The Last Supper
Bone marrow flan!! Very nice tribute. I will miss her reviews.— January 12, 2012 1:59 p.m.
The Stock Market Roller Coaster
LOL!!! Now this is why I still read this paper. Merry Christmas, Don.— December 25, 2011 9:20 a.m.
Class Warfare
But I do have to note the lack of accountability of the American public when they were seduced by the banks to enter the ranks of the upper 1%, while the banks were simultaneously insuring themselves against our ultimate, inevitable failure. This was an "inside job", mark my words. The scary part is that many of the people protesting had their college degrees financed by false inflation of home equity, not to mention several other costly items. My hope is that this does not go unnoticed, because, as we well know, history unlearned is doomed to repeat. Take note, Americans. When your own coffers are being stocked by the obvious misdeeds of others, are you this time going to say NO! I will not refinance just because I can fog a mirror and it's SO easy, or maybe mmm...there is something fishy going on here. I left my job when I was at the height of my earning power because I could no longer stomach the greed of the lending institution. My hope is that Americans let their conscience be their guide, rather than their net worth.— October 10, 2011 5:24 p.m.
