**MARSHMALLOW WARS MEETING TONIGHT!!!!!!** Join us at the OBTC Meeting this week Wednesday, July 24th, 7pm @ PL Masonic Center (1711 Sunset Cliffs Blvd) As part of the ongoing discussion about the marshmallows and their aftermath, the OB Town Council has offered up their meeting tomorrow for a community discussion. Our office has taken phone calls, emails and visits from members of the community - business owners, residents and visitors - and we're thankful the Town Council is donating a portion of their public meeting's agenda to host a discussion. The OBMA does not coordinate or support (financially or otherwise) the marshmallow fight. It was started by a group of residents years back, but the experience has changed and the event has turned into something entirely different. Here at the OBMA, we want the fireworks show to continue entertaining families and friends, visitors and residents. It’s becoming increasingly more difficult for viewers to enjoy the show when objects are being thrown through the air before the show ends, and it’s difficult to enjoy walking along the beach or throughout the neighborhood in the following days when marshmallow residue is sticking to the soles of your shoes and feet. Our goal would be for the entire community, Ocean Beach residents, merchants and visitors, who enjoy the tradition and celebration of the Fourth of July Fireworks to all work together to ensure the enjoyment of the holiday. We look forward to the greater community’s participation in helping to find the best way to keep our Fourth of July celebration hip, happy and beautiful, just like OB. You make some very valid points kittycat. We are becoming more and more of a regulated society. Some laws seem like they are good for us, others seems quite intrusive. I've heard that California has more laws, rules and regulations than most other states. Do you find this to be true?

Te Mana Cafe on Voltaire, the cool looking Craftsman Style 1920's house a few doors down from the Tilted Stick, has the best atmosphere to hang out in. Big porch and patio surrounded by ginormous palms and plants everywhere, comfy couches inside (fireplace), amazing list of coffees, acai bowls and breakfast sammies, salads, kahlua pork plates, people sitting around playing guitars, talking to one another...NOT ONE COMPUTER IN SIGHT! You truly feel like you're sitting in a cafe in Hawaii! Shhhhh....OB's best kept secret! And oh, if you bring in an old surfboard for their wall, you get a free Hawaiian plate lunch!

I love how they have the whole place open, you get a 180 degree view of da beach! Food is good and great night and day spot to hang!! We finally have a cool place to see the sea!! And their fail wall is a crack up!
