Biography:
Matthew Elton Smith has been playing the drums since he was 10 years old. Growing up in an artistically driven family Matt first started off playing surf music in his fathers surf band “The Surfin Surafi Bush Band.” Matt also sought musical opportunities as a trombone player, most recently receiving his bachelors of music from California State University Fullerton. Since then Matt has went on to pursue a career as a freelance drummer. Most recently putting out his debut jazz album with his group "themattsmithneujazztrio."
