Lhooq/Exrealism
Red Ribbon If there was ever a band that deserves your support by both sound and beautiful guts it's Red Ribbon! In the short time we have gotten to know this band we have fallen in love with their sound and their tenacity. They are on a three week tour from Seattle to as far south as Tijuana, as far east as Joshua Tree, unexplainable turning back northward for shows in SF & Oakland then back down for shows in LA and here in north county at Lhooq/Exrealism (Lhooq Books & The Exrealism Project) an off beat dream all with a show scheduled for every single night!! Each year there is so much music put out into the world, it's rare to hear something or someone stand out. Red Ribbon's unique yet understated blend of early New Wave, punk and the unclassifiable post truth sound Stands Out!?!?! And we are proud one of the venues for Seattle based Red Ribbon • Freaks Only - West Coast Tour! here at Lhooq/Exrealism May 1st, for a special Tuesday night show! Support the arts, Support Musicians, D.I.Y. tours, Support Freedom. Free show, but please donate at the door, buy merchandise and support our brothers & sisters making happen in any & every way you can!!!— April 22, 2018 2:27 p.m.

Another regular "Thursday Night Movie Night" at Lhooq Books. This week we have Warner Herzog's classic version of "Nosferatu", Tim Burton's, "Nightmare before Christmas", and Richard Kelly's Cult Classic, "Donnie Darko". Again, the order of the films will be chosen by the aduience. Depending on the night & the crowd, we could end up playing all three movies, a double feature, or at least one great film. It is your choice. Lhooq Books will remain open, Gourmet coffee, espresso, tea and popcorn is available here. You are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine w/ a small corking fee. Donations for the event are suggested. Watch the weather, it should be clear, but you might want to bring a blanket. If rain is on the calandar we will have the movies inside. All donations go to support our sister project, "The Exrealism Project" The Exrealism Project. Full calendar of events including regular events, workshops, etc. Plus, special events will also be posted as they are confirmed. We have only just begun. The movies are the easiest to get going, but we have great things in store for everyone. We are 100% independent and your suppport, by coming out and showing your support by enjoying what we are doing, experiencing our store, & learning more about our charity events, plus the donations are all greatly appreciated!! http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2016/o… http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2016/o…— October 25, 2016 9:53 p.m.
