Hotel del Coronado
**Pool Hoppers Anonymous** Have you ever gazed longingly at the Del’s perfect pool and flirted with the idea of sneaking in? Maybe some have dared, but I’ve always been deterred by the possibility and embarrassment of being caught – not the case with many local teens. According to my sources, Nado’s local kids sneak in all the time. They go in the gate when left open by an exiting guest, or they take the elevator. I’ve never ridden the elevator in the Del, but apparently you can exit on a pool entry level. The Del is not alone; these kids spilled the beans on many other local pools they’ve crashed. Kind of wishing I grew up in Coronado – sure sounds like a good time.— July 22, 2013 4:21 p.m.

**Coronado 5K - not a race for runners**. The 5K was overcrowded and did not have a staggered start according to mile times. Runners were channeled into a narrow course and could not pass each other - this ruined the opportunity for personal records and can hardly be called a race. I was disappointed that I paid almost $50.00 to WALK with a crowd. The 15K on the other hand, was less congested and allowed for runners to pass one another and truly compete. This is the race to run - if you can handle a 15K. http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/jul/0…— July 6, 2013 8:59 a.m.

**Porta-Pottys to the Rescue** The city did an excellent job staggering porta-pottys around the island on the 4th. Without this planning we would certainly have had drunks and small children urinating in our yards. http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/jul/0…— July 6, 2013 8:42 a.m.

Just a thought...why is there no Coronado community garden? Wouldn't it be great to have an assigned plot of land for this purpose...maybe in one of the parks? Especially since many residents do not have yards or the space for a garden.— June 14, 2013 9:24 p.m.

Coronado is no longer the number one beach, but were we ever REALLY the number one beach? Dr. Beach's rules and qualifications are questionable. http://coronado.patch.com/groups/editors-picks/p/…— May 28, 2013 9:22 p.m.

Love the herb garden...makes me feel good about eating there. Fresh with an ocean view - worth the high prices.— May 28, 2013 9:16 p.m.
