Hueso, Emerald reconfirm statements on DeMaio behavior
It wouldn't surprise me if Young set up Hueso in the first place, nor does it surprise me that he left Hueso holding the bag. Or tried. Everybody on the City Council at the time, including your beloved Donna Frye, will have a lot to answer for. Todd Gloria, Tony Young, Marti Emerald, and Ben Hueso. Especially Gloria and Emerald, who were so eager to force the mayor to resign, yet didn't report or call for an investigation into an act being repeatedly committed by one of their colleagues, an act they knew was criminal. I think there is a lot more serious fall-out to come from this story. Jerry Sanders, a former top law enforcement officer, knew about this, and knew it was a crime. Instead of acting upon the information, he chose to hold it in reserve as a secret weapon for political advantage. That to me is seriously dodgy conduct. The same goes with Goldpelt. What did he know and when did he know it? Why did these two men choose to endorse DeMaio, if they knew about this? It looks verylike they were covering up a crime for political advantage.— August 28, 2013 4:46 p.m.
Hueso, Emerald reconfirm statements on DeMaio behavior
The thing that was disturbing wasn't what he did, it was why and when he was doing it.— August 28, 2013 4:36 p.m.

Still funny, though. I suggested as much on a thread today, lol.— August 28, 2013 4:34 p.m.

Four more candidates enter fray to replace Mayor Bob Filner

Emails show top DeMaio operative key to Filner recall

DeMaio may change his mind, run for mayor
Well she lied to me personally about a relatively minor matter. Which was unfortunate as well as mysterious since I liked her and supported her. And as I recall on a thread on Facebook, David Rolland accused her of lying about an interview during the election cycle, and seemed to have the proof. I think others chimed in, and/or maybe the vibe of the whole discussion was, that she was deceitful in an unstable sort of way? It was a long time ago when I read the thread, that's my recollection of it. As for Emerald, you saw what she said in the article, that "everybody knew" about Mayo wanking, including herself, yet she never reported it or asked for an investigation. And here she was calling for the resignation of the mayor? Hypocrite, much? I wouldn't have her on a platter.— August 26, 2013 2:52 a.m.
City will indemnify resigning Filner, with some hedges
The only yahoos I saw on the threads at all the MSM sites and on FB were screeching for Bob's head, calling him every sort of vile insult, denigrating his looks. Their idea of wit was coming up with childish names like Feel her and Filthner. The pro-Filner people were by far more intelligent, and their zingers were snark award material. At the very least they could spell and knew the difference between your and you're.— August 26, 2013 12:26 a.m.
