San Diego redevelopers want Seventh and Market
Nancy Graham and the rest of the CCDC string pullers (Fred Maas, Kim Kilkenny, Jennifer LeSar) are corrupt. When will everyone realize that people with conflicts of interest and agendas that benefit them should not be serving in this capacity? CCDC in a perfect world would be comprised on unbiased urban planners, not developers. Please read their biography info! http://www.ccdc.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/aboutCCD… In any case, the CCDC should be dissolved, as the City Council is capable of deciding on projects and can actually be held accountable by elections. (Not to mention saving the $250k in Graham's riculous salary, plus benefits). The downtown is in a mid-stage of development and a CCDC is only needed in an early stage of development.— April 25, 2008 10:35 a.m.

Sanders Official Who Was Fired for Challenging Unethical Practices Files Wrongful Termination Suit
Don, that would be interesting to ask your site admin to check IP's if only to see if any city-owned computers are being used to post on boards.— April 23, 2008 10:02 a.m.
Sanders Official Who Was Fired for Challenging Unethical Practices Files Wrongful Termination Suit
I dont even post much anymore on the U-T boards. Its always the same people with a vested interest (in their own pay/pensions) posting on there. What they need to do is monitor city-owned computers to see who is spending their workdays posting on there!— April 22, 2008 10:30 a.m.
Sanders Wants City To Pay Union President's Salary During Bargaining; Aguirre Says It's Against the Charter
JF, the union president can be paid with money from the union dues. After all he is working for the union in his capacity as union president. City funds should not be used to pay for him while he's not performing his duties as a police officer.— April 15, 2008 11:15 a.m.
Sanders Wants City To Pay Union President's Salary During Bargaining; Aguirre Says It's Against the Charter
Why would the city pay the Union President during bargaining? That's stupid. Shouldnt he be paid by the people he actually works for? Doesnt he already receive a salary from the police?— April 14, 2008 10:11 a.m.
Medicare broken, Social Security broken, SEC broken
FJL that sounds much more reasonable than the city pensions. (Especially if most postal salaries are reasonable)— April 11, 2008 3:30 p.m.
Straight up
Sounds like simple reporting to me. The donations are reported and we know where those people stand. Just like the bottom sentence of the article reports on the building height limit poll.— April 11, 2008 1:56 p.m.
SEC Charges Five Former City Officials with Fraud for Roles in False Municipal Bond Filings
$2.4 Billion unfunded. This means that the city will be playing catch up for over 20 years and the payments just to try and dig out of this huge hole will be money that should have been spent on services and infrastruture. So potholes dont get fixed, water pipes burst (and cost the city more millions in lawsuits), etc.— April 11, 2008 1:52 p.m.
