SDG&E again asks for 2007 fire cost reimbursement
So, I'm just wondering, how many times will SDG&E go to the well, that is the Commission, to drink from their customer's wallet? Clearly, this is a case where stockholders must be responsible due to management's mismanagement. It's also clear, crossing your fingers hoping to avoid fire isn't a plan either, it was, and is, a disaster in the making.— January 10, 2017 11:20 a.m.
Former DA's office attorney suspended for conspiracy
Yes, you're correct, and I noticed that too. I was going to bring up that bizarre criminal behavior again. But since you did, I'm just wondering how one who perpetrates a crime, like attempted murder, still gets to be a lawyer. Are there no standards against crimes like these?— January 8, 2017 6:12 p.m.
Former DA's office attorney suspended for conspiracy
I'm just wondering if all those who commented negatively on the Mary Frances Prevost story from last year - http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2016/dec/07/ti… - will be commenting on your reporting on the Worden disciplinary action by the State Bar. Many, who alleged to be attorneys in their comments, had their respective noses bent out-of-shape on that report. They specifically called out Worden's misstep and the lack of Bar action. Maybe now they should be praising you on the balanced reporting as well as actions of the Bar.— January 8, 2017 1:47 p.m.

Stop ticketing the homeless, Mayor Faulconer
This is exactly what they began doing in San Francisco and it been a total disaster. Please, Mayor Faulconer, don't succumb to the pressure of the so-called politically correct movement. All laws need to be enforced equally, it is your duty, and a sworn oath taken by every police officer.— January 4, 2017 11:03 p.m.
Costly backstory of a big-money political power couple
I'm just wondering what this guy has really accomplished on his own? Has he really done anything or has been taking credit for the work of others?— January 3, 2017 1:15 p.m.
Disabilities act a shakedown vehicle?
Seems the obvious solution is to revise the law, by implement binding arbitration where physical changes are the only allowed result and keep arbitration fees to no more than 5% of the physical change costs. This suggestion allows a remedy for those who are truly impacted while keeping those who exploit a well intentioned law, for financial gain, at bay.— January 2, 2017 11:29 a.m.
City's pension liability zooms up by $937 million
You may label them as liars, dismiss their complaints on technicalities or even blame the main stream media for its level of coverage, but the facts are Filner, by his own omission in open court, did the acts. Thus it was his own doings which destroyed his term as Mayor. This will be his everlasting legacy, not any acts of good during his career. Just as Hillary was her own worst enemy. Her desire for power, greed and secrecy, and Filner's lust for power and control over women led each to their own special place of eternal torment.— December 30, 2016 10:57 a.m.
City's pension liability zooms up by $937 million
The other difference I failed to mention is the so called 13th check is NOT paid to retirees in fiscal years when returns do not meet certain thresholds. There also is no carry forward provision. The most recent examples, the 13th check was not paid in FY 2009 or 2012.— December 29, 2016 10:45 a.m.
City's pension liability zooms up by $937 million
Phony charges? I know some ladies who would strongly disagree with that description of Mr. Filner's acts.— December 27, 2016 3:03 p.m.
