Lemon Grove councilman sued for free-speech stifling
Interesting - Cory Briggs is plaintiff’s Attorney.— October 5, 2017 4:46 p.m.
Lemon Grove councilman sued for free-speech stifling
I see Dorian says “former consultant”. Acts have consequences. But sadly many of your generation prefer to avoid responsibility and blame others for their problems. I hope you or your Attorney can produce substantial, not allegorical, proof of the “thinly veiled tendencies” or other evidence you claimed in your statement. Otherwise you may be paying court cost and attorney’s fees, and then where will your family be?— October 5, 2017 3:45 p.m.
Lemon Grove councilman sued for free-speech stifling
Two comments here: 1. Just because you have first amendment rights doesn’t mean you should exercise them without using good judgment and common sense. I own a car that can easily go 120MPH, but driving that fast will risk not only my life but will put others in jeopardy too. Sure it’s not the same as free speech, but the point is there. Free speech is not absolute. 2. You work for an employer who does extensive engineering work for local, state and federal contracts. Do you really think your employer owes you a duty to protect you, when you undermine the confidence in the company? You know there are a lot of engineering firms in SD County who would love those contracts. The rule here is one I’ve expressed to my kids, don’t put things on the Internet that would embarrass yourself or others. Once you do they are there forever. Maybe you should think before you speak, type or press the enter key. I’ve found it helpful in the past, especiallly when dealing with passionate issues.— October 5, 2017 3:40 p.m.
Rumor: NFL wants Chargers to return to San Diego
Pleased to hear that you AND your 81 year old finger are well. The number of typos and non use of the colon had me thinking the worse. With the pressures of The Reader deadlines, all these responses to your reader's comment had me more worried about your 81 year old arteries than your finger. BTW, I'm just wondering, which "finger" do you use when pecking on your iPAD's virtual keyboard about the Chargers?— October 5, 2017 8:16 a.m.
Common man Scott
Multimillionaire Scott Peters...another do nothing politician. Just wants the power politician wield to impress his rich friends.— October 4, 2017 4:44 p.m.
Rumor: NFL wants Chargers to return to San Diego
Hey Don, are you doing alright? Just concerned, the number of typos in your responses is unusually large and a style change is also not typical of you? Just wondering?— October 4, 2017 7:03 a.m.
Rumor: NFL wants Chargers to return to San Diego
The Chargers can come back, but Spanos cannot. He, Spanos, should just live out his days from the sell of the team in comfort in Stockton. While I’m certain this is just a bunch of hyperbole, the ONLY way the Chargers should come back to San Diego is under new ownership. PERIOD.— October 2, 2017 6 p.m.
San Diego the next recession engine?
What has Dr. Cunningham have to say about the now proposed changes to the tax code? Personally I believe California residents will be hurt due to the high tax rates within our state. While businesses will do better. Call me a skeptic but I see higher tax burdens for Californians.— September 28, 2017 noon
Viral funding
Enron by the Sea under Mayor Murphy, Outbreak by the Sea under Mayor Faulconer, San Diego been “first” in so many fields under the mayoral leadership. Just wondering what the next mayoral plague will be?— September 27, 2017 7:49 p.m.
Nathan tales
I ❤️ Nathan too. Best flip flopper, go with which ever way the wind blows, do what’s best for Nathan kind of guy money will buy. Does this guy even have a soul left? Thought it was sold to his master, Irwin Jacobs, to do his bidding. Any voter who falls for Nathan’s latest schtick is a sucker and he’s depending on it.— September 27, 2017 5:26 p.m.
