Nursery Gets Whacked! It's finally happened. The old nursery, tucked on a L-Shaped 10-acres or so between Garfield and Highway 125, is being leveled. All the trees you see on the screen shot below have been cut down and cleared. There's nothing there now but three-foot stumps. It looks like World War I Europe. It's a shame. Among those whacked trees were near-100-foot eucalyptuses and lovely ornamentals. Couldn't some of them have been saved, developers? The area has long served as a fort-building, hide-and-seek playing, and airsoft-shooting ground for the neighborhood youth. Those days are over. Shame.
