Sharing because I thought the members in this group would appreciate it. My son has started a summer business! I designed an entire binder based on what he needs to succeed. Starting with the flyer of services which has been distributed to family and close neighbors, with prices, services, and contact info to arrange the jobs. Then on our end we put that on a customer intake form. The monthly schedule helps me (since I split custody too, so we will put in what days he’s home, when he’s with his dad, which weeks are recycle weeks, etc.) Weekly planner so we break it down by week. Then the daily job log we will take with us from job to job. From there, we have an invoice, payment tracker & customer statements. (Not pictured) he wrote down his goals & we set levels to each goal. If he hits level 1 he can choose to buy it OR continue saving for level 2. My hope is that he will make choices that aren’t based on instant gratification AND if he does he will realize he has to start back at square 1 to keep saving for his bigger goals.
