They Lied... San Onofre: No restart plan submitted – No root cause identified http://wp.me/p21p6a-8yu snip
Edison International announced in an e-mail statement, that it hasn’t filed a request with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to restart its San Onofre nuclear plant, adding that any forward-looking statements regarding potential June restart dates in media reports were for “planning purposes only” and “are subject to change”.
Edison expects to submit its restart plan by mid-May to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, which must sign off on it, Stephen Pickett, executive vice president at Edison’s Southern California Edison utility, said in a telephone interview.
Regulators may also review the $592 million the utility has spent to install the generators two years ago, Pickett said.

RE The Health Study of those living near SORE: Why should all the people in Southern California wait 10 years to be saved from the RISK of a Trillion Dollar Eco-Disaster like Japan now has? Ask your Congressman, "Where would you suggest that the Trillion+ Dollars come from if it happened here?" Don't suggest the wimpy Price-Waterhouse Bill because as we all know, it max's out at about 12 Billion dollars and that is a drop in the radioactive bucket is SORE suffered a meltdown like Fukushima; the beach front property alone is worth much more than that! Per the NRC: Fact Sheet on Nuclear Insurance and Disaster Relief http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/fac… In short, if there is more that 12 Billion in damages, we are left holding a empty radioactive bag! This is only a tiny fraction of what it will cost in Fukushima, which is about a Trillion Dollar Eco-Disaster! What is the value of all the homes and Commercial property downwind of SORE? Here is a great graphic that will help everyone visualize what is downwind of SORE! NRDC Nuclear Fallout Map http://www.nrdc.org/nuclear/fallout/ Just click on a reactor and zoom in... RE: CA Legislator Rep. Dana Rohrabacher who implied that the Reactors was going to restart very soon: ===> N☢ CHANCE... May 7, 2012 – STATEMENT FROM CHAIRMAN GREGORY JACZKO ON SAN ONOFRE RESTART http://wp.me/p21p6a-8xT snip Despite some erroneous reports in the media, there is no NRC timetable for restart of the San Onofre nuclear reactors, which have been shut down over safety issues affecting the steam generators. We have yet to receive the utility’s written response documenting their completion of actions described in the March 27 Confirmatory Action Letter, so any discussion of a date for the restart of Unit 2 or Unit 3 is clearly premature. Once we receive their response, we will take whatever time is necessary to conduct a thorough safety review.— May 9, 2012 11:56 a.m.

Prediction Proven Correct...! I believe that the CURRENT PROBE into San Onofre will expose many more questionable tubes and also an ongoing coverup of safety related info that was concealed in order to sidestep NRC notifications. San Onofre has the worst safety record of all US reactors and it just makes sense that the Operator will be trying very hard to keep the lid on anything that draw attention to their reactor or it's operation. The NRC gave the Nuclear Industry a "PASS" on the tube wear issue before on San Onofre and many of the other reactors around the Country http://wp.me/p21p6a-77L BUT NOW They are realizing that they have a much bigger problem than they first "imagined"; metal erosion/weakness cannot be tolerated when the radioactive leakage is not only high in temperature and pressure but also high in amount of radiation! Would you use a dangerous leaking pressure pot day after day,... or would you be smart and replace it with something safer? Fragile tubes and a BIG EARTH QUAKE could makes a large number of those tubes all fail AT ONCE; *which is what I think happened in Fukushima!*— May 9, 2012 11:55 a.m.
