Water authority draft master plan sees region through 2035
**Here is their last notice with the charts of the increases:** Notice the difference between the 2014 and 2015 costs. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/n… http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/n…— November 27, 2013 12:57 p.m.
Water authority draft master plan sees region through 2035
Anyway residents look at it, they are being ripped off when they compare their water billing to what big water users are paying and now that the City Council has approved additional water hikes residents are really getting stuck with even bigger water bills! Example Billings: - Feb 13 $ !70 - Apr 13 $147 - Jun 13 $167 - Aug 13 $214 - Oct 13 $251 Why should those with larger water usage (and larger water valves) get to pay much less now and much, much less in the future than residents? Big Business already gets enough breaks in San Diego, now they are starting to enjoy lower water prices because residents are paying more, what is wrong with that picture? This is just another FAILURE of our local MSM who has decided not to inform the public about yet another important increase in our cost to live in San Diego, and notice that they chose to do this during the rush to enjoy Thanksgiving, I wonder why?— November 27, 2013 12:46 p.m.
San Diego sides with Carmel Partners in Rolando project
Yet another example of Big Developers getting their way, while long time residents get slammed by DENSITY by DSD AND CITY LEADERSHIP. **ONE EZ SOLUTION** would be to add language to the CODE that would prevent DORM (per room) renting when the approved building code calls for unit renting; but to do that, we would have to get the City Council to vote to protect area residents and what is the chance of that happening, when Big developers are making big donations to our Leaders?— November 6, 2013 9:32 a.m.

HonestGovernment Great comment, Thumbs Up. Q. Are the two Goldsmiths related or just birds of the same feather making things harder for all residents living in San Diego?— November 6, 2013 9:23 a.m.
Local jail inmates to join fire camps
I've been told that we are paying about $140,000 per inmate per year to keep them in jail, which is why CA should be leading the way to get all those jailed for minor offenses out of our jail system ASAP.— October 29, 2013 1:29 p.m.
Local jail inmates to join fire camps
Great news, I just hope this is NOT just an MAKE MONEY program for the DOC who will then pay the inmates less than a dollar an hour while pocketing the difference! ### When there is a big fire all trained volunteers should be employed to help put it out ASAP, as it is now, it is a huge money maker for a few that spend all their time on the clock even while sleeping! **BTW: If Cal-Fire and other local FD's had to hire off the volunteer lists instead of just hiring their friends, we would have a far greater "mix" in our Fire Departments, but of course their unions would fight that even harder than our BIG FIRES...**— October 29, 2013 1:08 p.m.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission finds fault with Mitsubishi's calculations on failed San Onofre generators
Should Ratepayers Pay SDG&E’s San Onofre Costs? Hearing October 1st in San Diego + Comments [http://obrag.org/?p=76622&cpage=1#comment-293390]…] [1]: http://obrag.org/?p=76622&cpage=1#comment-293390— September 23, 2013 2:49 p.m.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission finds fault with Mitsubishi's calculations on failed San Onofre generators
From the Web: Ha Ha Ha Now SCE wants $ 2.4 Billion for their shareholders after taking ratepayers to the cleaners with their faulty in-house designed replacement steam generators that was supposed to save ratepayers a Billion dollars but failed almost as soon as they were installed! Unit 2 & Unit 3 now have more steam generator tube damage that all the rest of the nuclear fleet combined; but the real reason that San Onofre is being decommissioned is that SCE cannot afford to have the CPUC continue its investigation into the reasonableness of the replacement project because should all the facts be made public, SCE (and minority owners SDG&E 20% and Riverside County 2% ) may be potentially on the hook for 10 to 15 Billion dollars in ratepayer REBATES, and since SCE is a deep pocket they cannot afford to take that risk! Ask for your rebate on Oct 1, 2013 http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/s…— September 23, 2013 1:49 p.m.

Send an email to help San Diego lower Energy costs! http://www.sandiegoenergydistrict.org/san-diego-c… … + Ask SD County Supervisors To Study Community Energy: http://eepurl.com/FHk4T + Then there are health problems for all those living near nuclear power plants since they leak and vent radioactivity and don't even have to disclose to the public what is leaking or the amounts that have been released to the atmosphere! Southwestern College Foundation's Nathan Fletcher connection
More behind the scenes decisions from SWC? Where is the public involvement, that is besides supporting all these tax based expenditures? San Diego is being sold to the highest bidder funded candidate, no wonder SWC already had made their selection before Fletcher even was officially in the "race"... It is past time for the residents of Chula Vista to become involved in what is going on, instead of just funding more of the same old antics which their children's educational futures depend upon!— September 23, 2013 12:51 p.m.
