Edison stockholders buoyed by $3 billion San Onofre deal
I guess that Utility shareholders already know something that all of us that have followed this since San Onofre started leaking on 01/31/12 don't know, namely that the CPUC will stick the bill for SCE's multibillion debacle on the ratepayers instead of SCE where it belongs since they caused the Debacle! San Diego ratepayers are going to get stuck because SCE and SDG&E are too powerful for even SoCal MSM and/or 99% of our Politicians to stand up against (even if they wanted to), because the CPUC continues to punish ratepayers with ever increasing rates while they reward these Utilities shareholders with record profits! It is also important to note that **local MSM has been MUM about posting any stories about this multi-billion dollar debacle** with the one exception being KPBS which did post a story late last Friday and then took the references to it off their website over the weekend, even though it had more comments than their other "leading" stories, I know because I posted most of them! ****Please read the relevant comments posted here:**** http://www.kpbs.org/news/2014/mar/21/california-u…— March 26, 2014 12:18 p.m.
Triton drones finish 60,000-feet flights in Palmdale
Too bad the US Navy will not "Flight Test" these aircraft while also using them to search for Flight 370 which is still missing, since they could cover areas that are not only far away from civilian air traffic but are also over the ocean! Using drones to search for missing aircraft would be a wonderful use for unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's).— March 25, 2014 1:16 p.m.

Allied Gardens residents address parking problem
Resident having their streets turned into even bigger parking lots for near-by businesses is nothing new to those living near business districts in San Diego. Residential parking districts can eliminate that problem, but our elected Leaders are very reluctant to allow them to be formed, even though these Business owners, their employees and especially their patrons degrade the quality of life of those living within walking distance of these businesses. Because of this **parking blight**, the late night noise, especially from bars and clubs and all the trash left behind by these people. It is time for the City of San Diego to require ample parking for businesses and their customers instead of allowing these same businesses to expand without adding any additional parking which is only a wonderful idea if your are an Business Owner but it is terrible if you are "just" a near-by resident. North Park is a perfect example of a business district encouraging businesses to expand while at the same time pointing out the free parking in the near by neighborhoods. If all these neighbors parked in all the available parking spaces in the business district, these same business owners would cry FOUL. Additionally, there is now code changes in progress which wold Lower not raise parking requirements because it would reduce developer costs; so the question becomes, "Who is really benefitting from these changes?", the answer is quite clear, All the local Businesses , which also donate heavily are the ones that benefit. **Welcome to the New $an Diego...**— March 8, 2014 9:59 a.m.
More caution against city plan to purge emails
Glad that others are getting involved in this discussion since it has potential huge impacts to open government in San Diego! I'd suggest that you read the comments posted here about this topic: [http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2014/feb/28/ti…] [1]: http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2014/feb/28/ti…— March 3, 2014 1:15 p.m.

City of San Diego to purge year-old emails
Hopefully some civic minded attorney like **Mike Aguirre** will seek an injunction against the City so that this decision is not left up to the next Mayor, who has his own record of City Council documents at stake but determined instead by voters like in a *real Democracy, where people have a voice in their own Government!*— March 1, 2014 5:22 p.m.
