Local money men Robert Snigaroff, Neil Hokanson, Ross Starr bearish on future
So I'm stuck with either the mattress or exploitative industries?— September 4, 2016 10:27 p.m.
Doctor charged with distributing drugs for sex
Cow $#it I know? I have six kids to buy presents for.— September 4, 2016 10:25 p.m.
Local money men Robert Snigaroff, Neil Hokanson, Ross Starr bearish on future
Any socially conscious stocks?— September 4, 2016 6:15 p.m.
Doctor charged with distributing drugs for sex
Did he use conundrums? Did any of the women get pregnant? It should be make extra-clear, if true, that he got them hooked, then withheld the drugs from the junkies he created if they didn't comply, so they would have to comply or turn to street drugs. Seems that any real justice will have to come from civil suits, but his alleged victims, if the number is large, are unlikely to get enough if he doesn't have VERY deep pockets. Wanna bet that he is salting money away in foreign places?— September 4, 2016 6:13 p.m.
"The Chargers are cheap and manipulative"
Utter the coicumstances, it wouldn't surpise me if they got their #u<!<in stadium and let their kids go hungry to buy tickets. Beware complacency!— August 29, 2016 8:27 a.m.
"The Chargers are cheap and manipulative"
You folks are well-informed and smart. But confined to this box, your effect on the voters is minimal compared to the media blitz. Agitate, agitate, agitate. But on a huge scale. Get media coverage. You may have to pull a stunt or two (or some infinite number) to tip the scales. In the public's mind (?) it comes down to "Do you want the Chargers to leave or do you want the Chargers to stay?" It may be a no-brainer no brainer, because individually, they won't feel the heat rising ever so slowly and they bump from one sink-hole to the next in their driverless cars . . .— August 26, 2016 9:53 p.m.
County unemployment rate keeps rising
I wish more people would follow Openheim's practice of citing/linking references. Pretty soon, the upper one percent will have to get by by selling yachts to each other. The rest of us will be eating each other.— August 25, 2016 10:21 p.m.
Taxpayers association thumbs down Chargers proposal
Who's going to write the opposition language on the ballot? What will the City (or County?) analyst write?— August 24, 2016 11:28 p.m.
Taxpayers association thumbs down Chargers proposal
I strongly suspect that most of your readers do not read the comments, or, if they do, they read only a few, as then tend to be poorly organized and redundant. I don't know what the answer to this is, but I suggest that those commenting do so primarily when they have something highly relevant to add and that they cite the segment of your article to which it relates. I also suggest that we, the commenters, keep our comments to one per post and reflect the way your article was organized. That applies to me too.— August 23, 2016 8:12 p.m.
Taxpayers association thumbs down Chargers proposal
Municipal (government) expenditures can only be justified for police, fire, and infrastructure, including public lands and waters. Anything else is malfeasance. PERIOD.— August 22, 2016 11:42 p.m.
