County loses jobs, unemployment rises
Those phenomena would make an interesting study; simple gain/loss stats are almost meaningless in of themselves. Look for more big chains to close. Bricks and mortar retail is dying. As computer programming gets more and more refined, fewer and fewer programmers will be needed. "We" will reach a point where the "customers" have no money to buy stuff. The takedown of the Constitution is already in process. Several states are passing anti-protest measures, some in sheep's clothing, some blatant. The police increasingly are becoming goon squads--that will trim the population down to "size." Mass slavery, "wage" or otherwise, will serve the "winners" whose chief already has pronounced, "Tax retuns--tax returns? I don' need no stinkin' tax returns!"— March 3, 2017 9:16 p.m.

San Diego mortgage bite remains mighty
The equivalent today would be about $500. A 250 percent increase in real terms. So what factors are at play here?— February 27, 2017 8:24 p.m.
Former Chargers doctor gets probation
I take several medications, and I'm not sure of their effects on me. I presume they are largely responsible for me being alive and somewhat sane. But drug interactions, not to mention food--drug interactions, can be serious. If Seau suffered because he was drugged like a racehorse, the doctor(s?) and NFL should be barred from practice if not sent to prison. As to Trump's wants, they may well destroy the GOP, for better or for worse.— February 27, 2017 8:18 p.m.
Former Chargers doctor gets probation
Let's face it; we are all lab rats.— February 27, 2017 2:49 p.m.
Former Chargers doctor gets probation
My doctors gave me ambien for years, then abrubtly took me off, but would never tell me why. To MD's: Look inward at your cynical culture that treats patients like children--it's patronizing. It should stop. How much was Seau taking? Tragic.— February 26, 2017 9:55 p.m.
Dalai Lama causes a stir at UCSD
Question was intended for the author of the quote. That is always the case; it's a matter of form.— February 26, 2017 9:50 p.m.
Diamondbacks haul out league commissioner scam
All pix should be labeled. Please pass to responsible parties. Still, it does not reflect well on your blog.— February 24, 2017 3:12 p.m.
Diamondbacks haul out league commissioner scam
What's with the pix? Water damage? In *Phoenix*? Where did the water come from? It must have been salty (fan pee?).— February 23, 2017 4:27 p.m.
