Radio and newspaper man and vultures
The tax rate on his $3.5 million house is apparently 0.0082?— February 23, 2018 9:29 p.m.
Kratom crackdown
Cannabis indicus in low doses is an excellent pain killer, with no "high." Very quick acting if smoked. One might try just one short hit of the modern stuff to see if it works. Three hits will get me slightly high for a short period, so if you get high with no pain relief, go back to plain C. indicus. This is a personal observation, not medical research or advice.— February 22, 2018 8:31 p.m.
Rip down Qualcomm and build new stadium?

Rip down Qualcomm and build new stadium?
Not for *profit* maybe, but for a tax-money conduit into certain pockets and overpaid staff. What did its *original* charter say about tuition fees?— September 15, 2017 9:55 p.m.
Rip down Qualcomm and build new stadium?
In a *strictly* economic sense, it makes sense. IF you forget that it is not in a "valley," it's in a *riverbed.* And if you forget that its water is largely impounded by San Vicente Reservoir, a roller-compacted concrete dam.* It used to have a steelhead run. You'll regret it (that you forgot it). Maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow, but as soon as that big pile of roller-compacted concrete East of Alpine or the earth around it gives way to the vagaries of Nature and the Laws of physics. It may be a long time. So not to worry--after all, the earth sits atop the back of a giant turtle doesn't it? Its plates do not move over its flat surface, do they? Homo sap. *may* be long extinct before the dam or the earth upon which it sets fails . . . But the best use of the "property" is river. * http://www.diva-portal.org/smash/get/diva2:824953… "From the compilation of reported failures the conclusion was that the current design criteria are adequate. However, the real challenge lies in ensuring that the construction of dams is *correctly performed* to fulfil the stated criteria." [Italics mine] Are not our expert dam builders fail-safe?— September 15, 2017 9:51 p.m.
Agreement to move nuclear waste from San Onofre

Agreement to move nuclear waste from San Onofre
It's an ancient deception.— September 1, 2017 5:36 p.m.
Agreement to move nuclear waste from San Onofre
At some point, when the reality sinks in (e.g. thin containers in a corrosive environment that, difficult enough to move at present, will be impossible to move in any state of degradation--this is a chess move--in the near future, they will be de facto stored right where Edison wants them. Stupid (they will be affected and effected as well), but true . . . Gilmore is a hero.— August 31, 2017 6:56 p.m.
