Mary Jo White fretted about "aggressive" regulator
My misread, then. And I do seem to recall that he was not always as staunchly conservative as he appears to be today. As for having never been a reader, suffice to say that I was a subscriber for more than 30 years, and had many of their first issues, the newspaper-style ones, before they switched to the tabloid format. Wonder which rental I left those in? So, yes, it was indeed my rag, uh, bag. From '68 - a late, great hometown hero.— February 5, 2013 12:07 p.m.

Don't know that I have ever seen or heard anyone imply that P.J. O'Rourke was a lib. http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/feb/0…— February 5, 2013 9:52 a.m.
Ryan Leaf in state prison
Right, that was the one I was referring to re SP's post below. (i didn't view his link, assuming it was the one you and I have seen). Seau was definitely unique.— January 22, 2013 1:36 a.m.
Ryan Leaf in state prison
As was I, but a bit more surprised, actually. Nice to see Junior step in and put an end to it.— January 21, 2013 10:52 a.m.
Ryan Leaf in state prison
Had not seen this before: an excerpt from a 2011 when Leaf guest-hosted a sports talk show on XX1090 and interviewed Jay Posner, the U-T reporter he verbally accosted when he was with the Chargers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBK-FeF_ttM— January 21, 2013 9:13 a.m.

If only he could turn over a new leaf.— January 20, 2013 11:19 a.m.
Guns: Meese warns Obama could be impeached
Expect the apocalypse or yearn for it? I have heard and seen (via email) some of my customers from across the nation make comments like "Get ready, it's coming!". And they make no secret that they're more than heavily armed. I still think that good ol' American racism has a lot to do with the current climate. That and all these supposed adults masquerading as little boys playing "Army".— January 17, 2013 1:49 p.m.
The man behind the Lennon conspiracy van
Typo - the final word in the post above should have read "obviously", rather than "initially". Darn Swype keyboard!— December 29, 2012 4:17 p.m.
