Apparently that cart turned out to be a Trojan Hearse.— March 28, 2013 12:46 p.m.

You really WERE serious when you said you don't play slot machines.— March 27, 2013 6:45 p.m.

Now I'm dizzy from all of this mental mastur......well, you know. Advantage, Bauder!— March 27, 2013 1:25 p.m.

I realize that - I'm just taking one of my frequent respites from my elongated working day. At your expense, admittedly. But I can't restrain myself: If the cart jockey gets a sore throat today from hawking the product, could we say that he/she has a case of Trojan hoarse?— March 27, 2013 8:34 a.m.

Oh. Well, in that case, push away! http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/mar/2…— March 27, 2013 5:41 a.m.

Well, when I first read your traditional cart statement, I envisioned a push cart as well. It seems entirely plausible if it's in use in NYC, Boston, Chicago, etc. But when you mentioned neighborhoods, I have to agree that trucks were the norm, whether the commodity being peddled (as opposed to pedaled) was ice cream, milk, bread, blade sharpening, and so on. At least in Kearny Mesa in the 50's and 60's, and I presume most other areas in SD.— March 26, 2013 2:27 p.m.

If that happens, I'll never order a push up stick again. http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/mar/2…— March 26, 2013 9:52 a.m.

It HAS to be real. You just can't make this stuff up: " modeled after traditional hot dog carts". Hilarious!— March 25, 2013 10:12 p.m.
100% commission at Nordstrom
"I am not a reader of this publication. I simply was walking by the stand at a pizza joint, saw the paper, had nothing better to do and decided to read it while I waited." And felt compelled to sign up for a Reader account and post 3 messages on the topic (also with "nothing better to do"?). Two questions: 1. Are Nordstrom's and the Church of Scientology affiliated? 2. Does Nordstrom's actually ding sales associates on returns with which they had nothing do in the first place? Oh, the horror....— March 22, 2013 10:27 a.m.
