Who Cares If La Mesa Post Office Closes?
What an excellent idea. Yes, our Postal Employees have become the arm of Advertising, and by extension the Big Business Welfare system. On the newspaper note. Print on hemp paper with soy ink and then the whole thing will be environmentally friendly. What do you think. Would that work? Of course the laws against hemp must be changed first.— May 13, 2011 9:33 a.m.
Dumanis Seeks Justice
In Schwartzenegger's testosterone laden world, he did the right thing. After all, boyz will be boyz, and sometimes, mistakes happen. Nunez admitted to it. He deserves a reward for being a stand-up guy. Dumanis, wants to be Mayor. Need I say more?— May 12, 2011 10:14 a.m.
What makes you nervous?
Why should I be nervous? I see GOD (Grand Old Dyke) and I see dog, and I see the Grand Old Dick. I know what I have to do. I have to live until I die. Radical Uterus— May 12, 2011 10:09 a.m.
Bad Cops Get Caught -- But Not All of Them Do
I would like to address the issue of law enforcement, in general from the perspective of a woman, now in her fifties, who was pretty hot at one time. When I was younger, I felt like Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates. I never knew what kind of Officer of the Law I was going to meet. I've had some bizarre experiences. Men in authority, men in uniform, historically have been a mixed bag when it comes to vulnerable women. That this Officer has been dismissed, speaks volumes about his pattern of abuse.— May 12, 2011 9:56 a.m.
Who Cares If La Mesa Post Office Closes?
The people who are disabled, elderly, or those impaired by not having a drivers license, that's who. That nine mile thing just to provide personal imput, obviously, did not take into consideration the needs of the disabled, elderly, or those impaired by not having a drivers license. The Postal Service has always lost money. I'm over fifty and I cannot remember a time when the U.S. Government Postal Service ever made money. Why can't the U.S. Postal Service at least break even? I would be happy with that. If it broke even, I would know there was hope for a better Postal Service. One that took into consideration the needs of its most vulnerable customers. I believe it is called "customer service."— May 12, 2011 9:40 a.m.
I've Got a Hole in My Chest
So what if you don't believe him. It seems to me he is doing the best he can with what he has. Birth defects, MS, always one week away from living on the street. You think even if he is scamming, that his life is a bed of roses? Maybe he gets cranky and argumentative. How would you feel if you were in his shoes? As for the drugs, name me one human being who does not self medicate in some way. I would like to see the medical community back in the hands of the patients and the nurses and physicians, and out of the hands of drug companies, insurance companies, and a government which is doing less than nothing to make a system that is accountable and works for everyone. I'd rather be scammed by some wheel chair riding street hustler than by a Banker or Politician any day. I wish people would stop making scapegoats out of the poor people they see in front of them and look at the system we have that makes it necessary for cripples to live on the street. That my friend is the scam.— May 11, 2011 12:18 p.m.
Dorian Hargrove suffers life-changing skateboard accident
Amazing, how reading about the narrow death escapes of other people puts life in perspective, huh? On my fateful day, I chose the helmet that made me look like I stepped out of the Mel Brooks movie, "SpaceBalls." I hated that helmet, because it just wasn't cool. But, it was cloudy and it might rain and it had a full face sheild. My broken back versus your missing skull parts. All I can say is, "try not to be so hard on yourself, things have changed, and change is hard."— May 10, 2011 1:22 p.m.
California Cannabis Coalition Seeks to Eliminate Ordinances
Thanks for reporting this. Let's talk about gateway drugs. My gateway drug to medical cannabis was vicodin. Vicodin is produced by big pharmaceutical companies that after reaping massive amounts of money for many decades,is being forced to admit how harmful vicodin really is to the human liver. This is a pattern with big pharma, big government, and the relentless march toward putting PROFIT over everything. Which means life is cheap. Human citizens of the world, reclaim your right to choose, how you are poisoned, and who poisons you. ,— May 10, 2011 1:10 p.m.

Excellent advice. That's a lesson I had to learn the hard way too. You have chickens? I wish I had chickens. That egg money really adds up.— May 7, 2011 1:46 p.m.
