Homeless Alien Kept a Diary (a short story)
Please, blame the Reader, it looks like they stopped showing the latest neighborhood blog entries on the front page. I always caught good stuff that way. Ahem.— November 10, 2011 9:08 a.m.
Homeless Alien Kept a Diary (a short story)
3:30 a.m., wow, you night crawler you. Thanks for the read and props.— November 10, 2011 9:06 a.m.
Murals in the Barrio
Excellent piece, and I agree with Jay, should be a cover. Hat's off, in a major way.— November 6, 2011 6:12 p.m.
baloney on white
Orange doesn't suit me, I'm a winter... I love that friggin' line! Nice chops, rz.— November 6, 2011 8:09 a.m.
Remembering a Gardener's Foxes
We're squirrel crazy up here just south of SF. Got several of them that bury their nuts in the yard. Good thing the dog we have is a terrier, they don't go too crazy over little critters or anything. Oh no. All Buster does is dive into the shrubs to go after them, a scuffle ensuing that sounds like the Tasmanian Devil in the old Bugs Bunny cartoons, followed by a squirrel leaping for its life (always a successful leap...so far) and our dog emerging from the foliage literally shaking from his wild animal buzz and covered in twigs and leaves and spider webs. Next time.— November 6, 2011 7:59 a.m.
A Kingdom No Longer Magic (a short story)
TY. Even though it's a fictional story, it was inspired by an article I'd read about the secrets of Disneyland. The boobs, the basketball court inside the Matterhorn, and those feral cats were the three things that stuck with me.— October 28, 2011 8:41 a.m.
A Kingdom No Longer Magic (a short story)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.— October 28, 2011 8:39 a.m.
A Kingdom No Longer Magic (a short story)
TY, Roody. I love making you use exclamation points.— October 28, 2011 12:12 a.m.
Booker Is My Name Snippet
Can I pose for the romance novel cover? Two months of intensive physical training, several dermatological treatments, and a good spray tan are all I require. Excuse me, but I need to make out with my desk chair (wifey not home yet). ;-)— October 21, 2011 3:37 p.m.
Congressional Reform Act
Hear hear! Although I would add that no laws may be passed giving Congress EXEMPTIONS from existing law -- my favorite example is that Congress members and their employees can legally engage in insider trading based on knowledge gotten as part of their congressional duties. Occupy!!— October 21, 2011 3:32 p.m.
