Flags On Graves Always Make Me Cry
Thank you for sharing those memories, nan, and for what you did for those babies.— May 30, 2010 9:11 p.m.
Liberty Station Grifters
What a racket. I must say, MsG, these stories frustrate me. If you run these types off, they just set up shop somewhere else. You never know if, like nan's example, they are just really going through a hard time, or if this is their style of life, and if it is, if they are being forced to do it, to share their money with someone else. What is the back story? What can be done to get them out of this type of "work?" What a world.— May 30, 2010 1:25 p.m.
Bad Owner
I repeat, I wish those dogs did not exist. As long as they exist, other dogs, people, small children, live in fear of their lives. I have seen pit bulls wandering the streets unleashed, I have seen them leashed and straining along with owners who are clearly enjoying intimidating everyone as they parade the animal down the streets. I pray there are no cats loose, no babies in strollers coming around the corner, no mother with two or three little ones walking to the market or the bakery. There is no reason why all of us should be living in fear. There is nothing we can do about morons. There is something we can do about a breed of dog that is known for killing. Get rid of these dogs.— May 29, 2010 10:01 p.m.
Proposition D: How to Buy an Election
Well you just hit on my sentiments exactly, jv333. (How soon they forget what happened under McGrory.) BOTH systems are flawed. And I think the Strong Mayor idea was a good one in theory, but in practice, had its good and bad points. It was used as it was supposed to be used, but also as it was not supposed to be used. On balance, seems like it's a wash.— May 29, 2010 5:38 p.m.
Tundra # 20
Well, I can't say I agree with everything you write in your finale, Quilly, but thanks for sharing Tundra with us. What a splendid cat!— May 29, 2010 3:12 p.m.
Bad Owner
Just terrible. Wish those dogs did not exist.— May 29, 2010 3:06 p.m.
Proposition D: How to Buy an Election
Don't know about being on to them, SurfPup, as the last ballot measure was approved by the voters, this despite the fact that they kicked all African Americans of Indian descent out of their tribes in order to keep casino money to themselves. My understanding is the Jacobs own quite a lot of land in my community and are behind SEDC's latest push on redevelopment in the Imperial Dells study area.— May 29, 2010 10:57 a.m.
Apocalypse Now
It just came over the wires: Dennis Hopper has passed away. A great American actor. RIP.— May 29, 2010 10:13 a.m.
My Heroes, The Geek Squad
Story of my life.— May 28, 2010 4:49 p.m.
My Heroes, The Geek Squad
I may have to call the Geek Squad to get my VCR to stop blinking!— May 28, 2010 11:56 a.m.
