Bless! :) My street underwent some changes about a year ago, too, Robbie. They tore up the street, then repaved it, then striped it, then dug it up again, took out a chunk of sidewalk and replaced it, they have been trimming trees regularly and sometimes street sweep (without telling us so we don't get much benefit from it). What I find amusing, or not, is the way some seemingly intelligent people process the world. Bleeding hearts have been improving things for mankind since the Enlightenment; imagine the human condition without the work of bleeding hearts.
