Doing Europe: Prague, Czech Republic
What a tempest in a teapot. The author posted a nice little piece according to his memories of a place he visited ten years ago. Fred Williams comes in and blasts him since he apparently is the greater expert in all things Prague not to mention the grammar police. As Grasca said, two different people, two different experiences. Reading the article with a generous eye and spirit, most of us got the gist. If Fred wished to rebut and stun the world with his greater knowledge and writing ability, he should have posted his own article instead of starting a thread war. Really, do you people have nothing better to do?— June 29, 2010 11:13 a.m.
Despite $32.5 Million Funding Gap, City to Go Ahead with Library
"The irony is that those who would benefit most from the library, middle-class and lower-class San Diegans and their children, show the least support, yet salivate for a new stadium whose Chargers tickets would cost them a week of salary for the family to attend (maybe even more)." Show some stats/reports to support this statement, nativesd.— June 29, 2010 10:43 a.m.

Ooookaaaaayyy. Apparently, this is the thread that never dies.— June 29, 2010 10:15 a.m.

I think here, Grasca, for a variety of reasons, this thread was "la gota que derramo el vaso." Anyway, time to drop it. I declare this thread officially dead -- unless you want to buy a souvenir teeshirt, I still have a few left! :)— June 29, 2010 9:41 a.m.

Brakes, where's the brakes on this thing????— June 28, 2010 4:38 p.m.

Gyad, I have to explain everything to some people. MsGrant did not say, Msjlee, You suck. She said, Your writing sucks. The difference between a personal attack and critique. Here, let me illustrate the difference.: Msjlee, your writing sucks. Mindy the Storyteller, you are a stupid cow and your writing sucks. Lesson over. :)— June 28, 2010 4:34 p.m.
Noboozapalooza
I don't accept that young adults need or want to get stupidly wasted, and further, I don't accept that society has to put up with the destruction caused by their stupidity. People want to get stupidly wasted, let them do it where it isn't going to bother the neighbors, cost the taxpayers' money, or break the law.— June 28, 2010 4:28 p.m.

Oooh dang, MsG, I never heard of it. Do tell! :)— June 28, 2010 12:46 p.m.
Cameras Lie
Beyond that, this supposedly free society is becoming more and more Orwellian every day. We are supposedly installing cameras everywhere to better protect ourselves, but we are giving up more and more freedom to do it; we are trapping ourselves.— June 28, 2010 11:11 a.m.
