"Magical Mystery Tour" did have an official DVD release - wayyy back in 1997:

About six months ago, this DVD had fantastically high prices - $100-$150 range at best. Since the announcement of the newly remastered DVD, you can get a copy for a bag of chips.
Paul's widely quoted quote about the film:
"Was the film really all that bad compared to the rest of Christmas TV? You could hardly call the Queen's speech a gasser. We could put on a moptop show, but we really don't like that sort of entertainment anymore. We could have sung carols and done a first-class Christmassy show starring The Beatles with lots of phoney tinsel like everyone else.
"It would have been the easiest thing in the world, but we wanted to do something different. So maybe we boobed... maybe we didn't. We don't say it was a good film. It was our first attempt. If we goofed, then we goofed. It was a challenge and it didn't come off. We'll know better next time."

Happy birthday to the King, and I don't mean Elvis!
Eighty years old? SHUT UP! I was going to post a YouTube video of Little Richard taking a bath with his piano singing "Rubber Duckie" on Sesame Street - search it out if you dare. But instead, here's a clip of Mr. Tutti-Frutti himself along with Mr. Dynamite, the amazing Mr. Please Please himself - the hardest working man in show business: James Brown... on "Wheel Of Fortune." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3GbzvisUE8— December 5, 2012 8:37 p.m.
Hee hee!
It's almost that time of year.... when can we expect a Big Screen "Best of 2012" from Messrs. Marks and Lickona? http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2012/dec/0…— December 3, 2012 12:42 p.m.
What happened? Anthony Hopkins
Dividing his time between the London stage, the big screen, the small screen on both sides of the Atlantic, and - as he readily admits - bouts with the bottle, Anthony Hopkins' career has been one of ebb and flow. From "The Lion In Winter" (1968) to "The Elephant Man" (1980), Hopkins was in projects big and small. Despite many credits to his name during the 1980s, I cannot name one film he was known to be in as readily as his post-"Lambs" career. And no, his work as Adolf Hitler in the made-for-TV movie "The Bunker" (1981) doesn't count: turn on the subtitles on your YouTube window if you wish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOkpLijZwM8— December 3, 2012 12:34 p.m.
