Truth in advertising: Woody plugs Groucho
The Carnegie Hall concert was held in May of 1972. Five months later, Groucho appeared at the Taper Forum in Los Angeles in what was supposed to be a reprise of the Carnegie Hall performance. From the Stefan Kanfer book "Groucho": "The videotape of this event, never distributed, is heartbreaking. An infirm Groucho moves slowly and painfully. YouTube also took down Groucho's last appearance in Bob Hope's "Joys" TV special... so here's the the one, the only... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EDUvnFY7bk— February 19, 2013 2:56 p.m.
