ow playing at AMC Theat
And at least your Uncle Fred didn't use the Zoom x2 feature my Dad likes to use. Not only does it lose about 40% of the picture it's blurry as hell. But what is to be expected from a man whose favorite film is "Cops and Robbersons"... every holiday when I visit he breaks out his VHS copy. Bless his heart.— June 25, 2014 12:24 a.m.

Hey isn't NOT seeing one third of 22 Jump Street a good thing!?— June 25, 2014 12:23 a.m.

I wish that when I plan on seeing a movie and I call the theater ahead of time to check which particular auditorium the movie I want to see is playing on, my wife (who waits impatiently with arms folded and foot tapping) would call me "persnickety"... rather than the other select *choice* words she has for me at that moment. Yes I'm straight up anal when it comes to my big screen obsession. However, when my wife wanted to see "Lone Survivor" and it was only playing at AMC Fashion Valley she finally got it. We sat down and she commented on the small screen. She assumed because the movie was at the end of its theatrical run they threw it on their *smallest* screen. Oh no dear... this IS their standard size auditorium I had to explain.— June 25, 2014 12:12 a.m.
Auditorium report card: AMC Mission Valley #9
Both AMC MV and FV are probably the worse offenders when it comes to cropping. I remember a long time ago... back when MV was doing a weekly showing of classic films.. going to see Citizen Kane. Oh boy, there were more decapitations on screen than an episode of The Walking Dead. I immediately complained and the response I received was "Yea, it's supposed to be like that. We cropped it to fit." *Supposed* to be like that?? I was going to respond, but with a response so asinine I thought why bother trying to explain. Got a refund and haven't returned to AMC MV since. The one and only good memory I have of AMC MV is it's grand opening 1995 when they had Charlton Heston on 20 screens and in person signing his book "In The Arena". It was an honor meeting the man and having him introduce "Planet of the Apes". http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2014/j…— June 24, 2014 11:40 p.m.

Scott you magnificent pagan beast!! THANK YOU. And for those stuffed shirts and New England school marms getting your manes in a knot over Scott's horse-face comment... please please see Citizen Kane AGAIN... and if you've NEVER seen it.. please donate your eyeballs to Scott in the name of cinematic science.— April 26, 2014 1:02 a.m.
Ken Cinema to close on April 27
Say it ain't so. That would be very sad indeed.— April 14, 2014 11:43 p.m.
