This should be interesting. Let the red herrings fly and the employers wonder where their illegals are.— December 21, 2017 9 a.m.
"Landmark" pine tree the culprit
Spreckles folly, a useless non-native species. Kill them all and replace with something less dangerous, like apple and orange trees.— December 21, 2017 8:56 a.m.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. There is a new generation out there of people who have no idea of how fast and deadly violence can erupt without your schoolyard monitor present.— December 15, 2017 3:48 p.m.
Sunset Cliffs crumble
Gravity is a harsh mistress.— December 8, 2017 10:09 a.m.
Decision made on Mission Bay wetlands plan
Just what you need, a mosquito incubator. Say hello to Zika and West Nile fever. Mission Bay was a swamp and dredging it was greatly beneficial to San Diegans. Don't go backwards.— December 6, 2017 6:26 p.m.
Mass layoff or furlough? Union, NASSCO differ
I worked for Southwest Marine for a while. It was common to be laid off a few days before reaching 90 days (instant escort to the gate without notice) and then re-hired in a week or two, so they would not have to pay benefits. I moved on.— December 4, 2017 10:22 a.m.
Downtown homeless people driven north by cops
Has Pete Wilson returned? He drove them out of concentrating downtown and spread them out everywhere else. Not a solution, but had the appearance of one— December 1, 2017 1:06 p.m.
La Jollans pick bones over noisy airspace
They can always move to Rancho Santa Fe— December 1, 2017 1:04 p.m.
Car won from casino still undelivered
Ok Don, my forefathers built the pyramids and were converted into a layer of ash across Europe. What do I win?— November 25, 2017 11:44 p.m.
Car won from casino still undelivered
Perhaps it is time to close the borders to those "sovereign lands", until they actually become sovereign. Generate their own power, install their own courts and prisons, grow their own food, etc. They are not "sovereign" at all, but dependant upon the USA to survive. When do the descendants of the "Californios" get to open casinos?— November 24, 2017 10:21 a.m.
