A Bumblebee in my Starkist tuna?
Wiki says, "StarKist Tuna is the name of a brand of tuna that is produced by StarKist Co., based on Pittsburgh's North Shore, is an American company, now wholly owned by Dongwon Industries of South Korea." It's possible that you got some Dong in your tuna.— February 14, 2018 1:08 p.m.
Trip on a crack, break the city's back
After ten years of warning the city of a very bad sidewalk in front of his house, my Dad just got a threat letter from the city telling him to fix it. It is outside of his property lines. They offered to charge him half of replacement costs if they do it. I am inclined to hire a lawyer instead. A blind friend tripped there once, but didnt sue. I will ask him if he feels clumsy when I am in town.— February 11, 2018 9:56 a.m.
Chicano Park conflict solvable with carne asada?
No one wants a car on their head, close the park and paint over the concrete— January 29, 2018 2:02 p.m.
Robb Field's dumpster overflow problem
I live 500 miles north. Our property taxes include a fee that allows residents one free truckload to the dump daily. While there is another fee for curbside pickup, the free dump prevents illegal dumping by all but the most lazy or loathsome.— January 22, 2018 12:55 p.m.
Traffic circles coming to Moraga Avenue
Sorry, folks. Common courtesy is rare in California drivers. I see cops, county, and city vehicles that never signal a turn. The law requires signals at least 100 feet before the movement, not as it happens. Who is a good driver?— January 20, 2018 11:38 p.m.
Wanting to eat the Tide Pod is perfectly natural
If you survive and don't learn, try the "D-con challenge" !— January 18, 2018 10:07 p.m.
12 days of harassment and counting
Yes, Viginia, there are still people out there in need of an old fashioned beating— December 25, 2017 5:25 p.m.
"Landmark" pine tree the culprit
That was misleading. Eucs can fail at any time without warning, like old oaks. Pines don't usually fail (unless stressed) until near the end of their life cycle. They don't live forever and should be harvested before they kill someone. I own over a thousand Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey pines, plus Cedars and Dogwoods where I live, and have to cull them a few times a year to keep the forest healthy. Down there in the city they become a liability as the recent fires have proven. Go with fruit trees that will feed the children and bums.— December 23, 2017 9:43 p.m.

Ace Parking sued for printing TMI on receipts
Ace Parking and their grip on San Diego politicians is a deep swamp that needs draining. Is there a polictician with the guts to take them out? Are they truly Mafia as rumored?— December 21, 2017 1:20 p.m.
