Why more people leave than enter San Diego
Symbolic Motors? No, but I have made and shipped reproduction parts for some of their cars. My point was, that the "cost of living" is about the same everywhere, except for property values which follow the rules of supply and demand. Some places outside of the cities want to pay employees less, citing the "lower cost of living", but if you rent that is false. No matter where you go in the West, you still pay about the same for food, fuel, power, and entertainment.— April 11, 2014 10:44 a.m.
Why more people leave than enter San Diego
I left in 1989. Working as a mechanic on high-end automobiles near the coast, I could not earn enough to get ahead, or ever hope to purchase a property within reasonable commuting distance having space for my own vehicle collection. Now I own forest acreage without a mortgage, near a small Northern California town where people are mostly friendly and we all know who the bad guys are. I still come back to visit often, and am glad to leave that disaster you call normal traffic. I still pay about the same as you guys do for everything except for lower property taxes and higher restaurant prices. "Quality of life" isn't all about money. It is about being happy where you live.— April 10, 2014 8:46 p.m.
San Diego sued over Comic-Con murals
If it is a commercial ad and not a unique and new design, it is a sign, not "art". Pay the fee and comply with the guidelines.— April 7, 2014 7:28 p.m.
What the emails tell us

Lindbergh Field drug smugglers busted
So they are a Latrine-o gang? lol. Put them in prison for a long time. This is one example of why drugs should be legalised, it will put people like this out of business.— March 18, 2014 8:21 a.m.
Military contracting giants gird for barrio battle
They drove out the junk yards, and the prosperity and nice neighborhood failed to appear. Perhaps putting nearly 5000 shipyard industry workers on welfare will make it better?— March 16, 2014 2:59 p.m.
