Guns slated for destruction
Excellent! I have a some worn out antique pistols worth less than $30 each, that I will be happy to sell for $100 each. I will use the profits to buy ammo at WalMart. Thanks, Taxpayers!— October 21, 2015 4:07 p.m.

They really need to give permits to those who really need them, and let the rest stop being "special".— October 16, 2015 5:42 p.m.
Dollar Rent A Car demands reporters' names
"Oh, while on that trip, we paid to park our vehicle on the roof of one of the SD airport garage facilities. That cost about $250, and it was open-air self-park. Something is lopsided here, isn't it?" Surely you aren't suggesting something fishy about ACE Parking and the city official?— October 11, 2015 11:53 a.m.
Trader Joe's gets it, Clairemont
People have been trying for years to get them to open a store here in the Sierras in Sonora or Angels Camp, but they dont want to risk opening where the population is less dense, Republican, and space is comparatively cheap. Too bad, they would have a monopoly on quality foods.— October 4, 2015 11:26 a.m.
Issa says criminal history should be shielded
Most convicts dont have to be asked. If you have tattoos on your face, neck, or hands, I will not be doing business with you or your employer.— September 13, 2015 9:58 a.m.
Used-car-lot blues on Marlborough Avenue
Long ago I parked a car for sale on the nearest main street, Mt. Acadia. I got a call from the SDPD that Councilwoman Susan Golding had called and complained, and that I had to move it or be cited. I appreciated the warning. A few weeks later she plastered everything in sight with her campaign signs. I took down every one I saw, and burned them on Fiesta Island.— September 11, 2015 10:08 a.m.
Coronado councilman aims to “de-sign” town
Please dont follow Richard Bailey's example and try to drive while looking at a phone.— September 2, 2015 9:22 p.m.
More marine-life protection from people like you
Perhaps some investigative journalism is in order. Borrow a kayak and paddle around until an "authority" shows up. It should be a great way to spend your day working on the clock.— September 2, 2015 9:18 p.m.
Micro-robots released at UC-San Diego
I for one, welcome our new microbot overlords— August 28, 2015 4:46 p.m.
