As Lambesis awaits sentencing…
Lambesis is an adenoidal moron who deserves at least 20 years in prison. But he'll probably get 5 years at most. He better keep a tube of Vaseline in his back pocket. He's going to need it where he's going. Bubba is waiting for him.— May 2, 2014 10:17 p.m.
House at 1619 J Street historical? Guffaw.
Jerome Navarra appears to be infected with the contagion of greed. His furniture company must net at least $10 million a year in profits. Yet he is not content. He wants MORE, MORE, MORE money. He has to buy hundreds of millions worth of land in the downtown area to build apartments to suck more money out of immigrants and the idiots who move here from the Midwest for $10 an hour jobs. I will never purchase furniture from Navarra. He has more money than he needs or should have.— May 2, 2014 4:05 p.m.
Opera operative advised no discussion of fat checks
It's unfortunate that in the sunset years of his career Pavarotti had to be hoisted upon the stage with a forklift due to his considerable girth. Perhaps this explains why the American public has turned its back on opera: revulsion that many opera lovers merely stood aside and did nothing as Pavarotti slowly ate himself to death.— April 19, 2014 12:05 a.m.
It ain't over until they haul the projector out of The Ken
The developers are probably going to tear the Ken down to build condos for the influx of slobs from Meechigan, Ohio, Illinois, Florida, etc.— April 17, 2014 8:28 p.m.
Drywall company kicked off $6 million job
It looks like both companies are Canuck-owned. Them Canadians is thicker than thieves. The builder contracted with another Canadian company to keep an American drywall company from earning a profit. Most of the drywall workers were probably shipped in from Canada to keep Americans from working.— April 12, 2014 1:14 p.m.
Opera board not provided with information requested
It is spelled pekid, not peaked, old fool. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/pekid Wiktionary Adjective[edit]. pekid (comparative more pekid, superlative most pekid) ... Don't whip Ralph while I'm gone — the poor boy aint well — he looks right pekid. 1966— April 6, 2014 4:08 p.m.
Opera board not provided with information requested
I hope that Conrad Titus Prebys will stand up and open the wallets of the 5,000 tenants at his apartment complexes and bail the Opera out. Titus looks a little pekid and is sitting in God's waiting room as it were. Its not like he's going to take the money with him. With 5,000 rent checks pouring into his bank account each month he's not going to miss the money. A 3% rent increase should be enough to pay the Opera's bills. The tenants would just waste the money buying food and clothing for their children. Better to divert that money to the Opera than to waste it.— April 6, 2014 8:39 a.m.
Edison execs dump $18 million of stock after rate deal
Many of the things Viewer says makes a lot of sense, if you stop and think about it.— April 6, 2014 8:34 a.m.
Recycling robbers
Lowe's hardware chain just paid an $18 million fine because they had recyling bins at the entrances to their stores in San Diego to collect old ink cartridges, batteries etc. Lowes did not recycle these items but merely dumped them with the regular trash. Recycling is a giant scam.— April 5, 2014 9:48 p.m.
Recycling robbers
The city pays private contractors to recycle the trash. Recycling is a money losing proposition. The amount the city is willing to pay the contractors is enough to process only a small portion of the recyclables that are collected. Most recyclables wind up in the landfill as ordinary trash. Recylcing is a scam like everything else connected with government. If the homeless steal cans and bottles and take them to a recylcing center, those items will be recycled. If the cans and bottles are left in the blue bin and collected by the garbage man, those items will most likely wind up in the landfill. It might be best to leave the cans and bottles in plastic bags by the side of the blue bins so the homeless can find them without having to rummage.— April 5, 2014 9:37 p.m.
