Filner, Goldsmith slated to meet tomorrow

The CBS national news coverage of this would leave those uninformed of the San Diego circus-style politics scratching their heads. The final lady who has claimed she went home and cried after Filner hugged and kissed her, shown on CBS national, could only cause the public to wonder why she cried at being shown affection. The national viewer does understand, however, that Allred - the low-rated reality-show host - is an act, but the rest of it must be puzzling to outsiders, because the national media can't possibly explain it in 3 minutes. Seriously. Meanwhile, the Neverland boy leader has been dissed by the national journalist Jay Rosen, related to Dillon's obsessive Filner stalking and Leader Lewis' claim that Filner can't be mayor if he doesn't talk to the press or speak on the internet. And Filner hater-in-Chief Krvarik was off to take his Limbaugh-loving spouse to see Rush Limbaugh, America's #1 misogynist. Marco and Cory and Krvarik are slinging names (*Pedophile! Anti-Union!*) and mud at each other, and Rachel Laing seems to have been given the equivalent of a twitter shunning (no retweets!) by those who feel uncomfortable with the Teaparty nutcases that she is in bed with (her earlier meetings with Sanders and Kris Michell aside, $$$). The sad-looking downtown rally was populated with Goldsmith's base, the old or aging north-of-I-8 Teaparty members. If Filner wanted to flee this town to get as far away from the evil stupidity that the world is seeing, I couldn't blame him. This town has an overload of pitiful hacks posing as reporters ↑, lawyers, and pols.

No one wants to vet any of the accusers, or suggest that anything about them might deserve a look. whatever. But you have to give Logan Jenkins credit for dreaming up absurd theater. He writes of his brave new hero, Peggy Lou: "*How could Filner (who, it should be noted, is three years older than Shannon) have bragged to a great-grandmother that he could go “eight hours straight”? (And here the Greek chorus thought four hours required a call to the doctor.) No question, older women don’t have it easy in this culture that worships erotically charged youth.*" Not sure what Jenkins is implying with the 3-year age difference - at ages 67 and 70, so what? - but that aside, does he know that Peggy Lou is one of the millions of interested worshippers of "erotically charged youth"? How could Filner find himself in a weird convo with Peggy Lou? Here's how: She loves her reality TV, no shame in that. but it's something we should all be informed about her. Surely she's able to talk about all kinds of interesting erotically charged subjects. She particularly loves Ru Paul's Drag Race. If you don't know what that is: "*sexual innuendo (including references to various sex acts and blurred nudity) and a fair bit of strong language (the term “bitch” is used continuously, while curses like f--k and s--t are bleeped). The show supports the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community, while simultaneously sending the message that drag queens must be overly sexualized in order to succeed. It also promotes self-acceptance*." You MUST pen another opinion piece, Logan, and put this in context. Because my gramma needs to understand.
