It's a good point, Alan... and one of the reasons I blurted to the one I am closest with that his friends were bitches. But I also agree with MsGrant, especially when the rude ones are virtual strangers, that it would be rude for me to presume to instruct other adults how to behave -- if I don't like the way people behave, especially if they're not friends, I simply choose not to associate with them. Time is a valuable thing, and as altruistic as I may feel on occasion, I don't waste mine on people I don't like. Unfortunately for my schedule, I tend to like nearly everyone. ;)

The Great Escape

Thanks, Alan! Nice of you to offer. We were just at BevMo this week (can't stay away from all that wine) because of the great five cent sale that's been going on over there. We picked up a bunch of Vino Verde, of the same kind we were served in Porto. And at 5 cents for every second bottle, my wallet survived the trip. Not sure where you work, but my BevMo of choice is the one in Mission Valley, and I can often be found roaming the aisles there.

I recently saw the cutest version of a pug lately -- it was called a CHUG, mix of chihuahua and pug. Face wasn't flat, eyes weren't buggy, but it was small, black, and not so scrawny as a chihuahua. Temperament, totally chill. I wonder if anyone breeds those around here. Love me some Chug.
