That's a great point, Altius, and most likely accurate. On a side note, my most serious and healthy relationships have been those that did not begin with sex in the first few dates. I can't help but think that has something to do with it.

The bugs were sauteed, with different seasonings. BBQ, Mesquite, mine was seasoned with Lowry's Garlic Salt. But they all tasted the same -- wormy. No real flavor, just a weird, unchewable skin-like substance in the mouth. Not my favorite. Won't be serving it at my next soiree. ;)

Ticks-ident

Mrbios, tucking pants into socks would have been a good idea, after four seconds, some of the crew found ticks halfway up the INSIDE of their pant legs? David also found one on the inside. Fortunately, I didn't experience that horror, but honestly, mine was bad enough. And Anne, thanks for the info. So many people I encountered on MV said they'd had lyme disease and that it was no big deal (if you catch it in time). My friend Steve had it twice. I think it's a huge deal, but over there, in tick-ville, they shrug it off like it's no big. I'll look up Beth's story and learn more.

Ha! Altius, that's an interesting point, but I don't think it's the case. They know they're not getting any from us. I must clarify, at least for my in-laws and doggy friends cases, that I am not "repulsed" by their behavior, just fascinated. Dog asses on the carpet? Yeah, ick, but loving your furry friend? Just fine.
