Pedal, pedal, pedal the boat

Thanks for the wonderful recommendations! That lake sounds perfect for a relaxing day out (with lots of sunscreen, or maybe even a big umbrella). I have NEVER ridden a Segway. I've been dying to take one of those tours and write about it, just haven't gotten around to actually scheduling it. I happened upon a few of them while strolling around Seaport Village recently. Everyone looked super dorky, but they also looked like they were having a great time. Okay, it's back on my radar. Thanks again! :)

San Diego Sheriff’s New Car Reads License Plates Fast

My understanding is that meter maids (I mean parking enforcement officers) already have this technology - as they drive by, machine tracks and clocks license plates so when they drive by again, it automatically reports if the same care has been in the same place for longer than the legal limit. I'll look for verification.

Reader_reader, It was fantastic. Not sure if you caught it, but there is one line in this story that alludes to that. Here it is in context: "I wouldn’t find out how hard I was gripping the steering wheel until we almost needed to cut off one of my fingers to remove a deformed ring later that night. **I still maintain it was from the clapping during the show** and not my death grip on the wheel."
