Wild West at Oceanside Airport
There are thousands of small uncontrolled airports in the US. Some controlled airports "close" at night. One can still fly in/out but, like Oceanside, it is VFR rules.— January 31, 2019 7:28 a.m.
I once lived in an RV in San Diego, and it sucked
I would invite all the "van-lifers" to hit the road.— January 30, 2019 6:40 a.m.
San Diego pot producers challenged by rivals
As cannabis facilities grow, so does the traffic around them. Emissions increase, air quality degrades. You could say that about any new venture be it business or housing. As _____ ___________ grow, so does the traffic around them. Emissions increase, air quality degrades.— January 30, 2019 6:38 a.m.
Cory Briggs runs for mayor of San Diego
“Hoteliers are making money and renting rooms because our city is so wonderful that people want to come here. They are making money off of us.” It is sad that the hoteliers are making money by paying low wages and low/no benefits. A majority of hotel (restaurant and retail) workers are eligible for welfare benefits. The taxpayer is supplementing the profits by providing the benefits that should be provided by the employer.— January 30, 2019 6:35 a.m.
Scooter riders flooding emergency rooms
You just can't fix stupid. Every time a person ends up in the emergency the stupid City of San Diego should have to pay for their care as they promote and allow these scooter on the streets.— January 27, 2019 7:15 a.m.
Women's March and Walk for Life – a mile or a world apart?
It is not a baseless argument. If a woman is not allowed to make choices about her body then unwanted pregnancies will occur. The usual cadre of bible thumpers will rail against a woman's right to control her body but will not lift a single finger to care for and raise an unwanted child.— January 27, 2019 7:13 a.m.
Women's March and Walk for Life – a mile or a world apart?
How many pro life people are willing to adopt unwanted children? They all seem to want to protect the unborn but abandon them after birth. While I am not pro abortion I am not for dictating to a woman what her reproductive rights are.— January 26, 2019 8:55 a.m.
Miranda Escoto tried to report abuse of students
Amen— January 26, 2019 8:52 a.m.
Vista child grabber gets four years prison
The worthless piece of human garbage should have been sentenced to life in prison.— January 26, 2019 8:51 a.m.
Bankers Hill opens umbrellas to protest 'shady' project
The "affordable units" ploy is a giant scam. In trade for providing a few "affordable" units the developer gets relief from many regulations and often get the city to help with the financing. Affordable housing is not the same as income adjusted housing. Affordable is defined as 80% of market. If a unit is renting for $2,000 on the open market then the rent is an affordable $1,800.— January 24, 2019 7:26 a.m.
