Del Mar puts off sea rise plan
No plan is necessary. As the sea rises and the bluffs erode the now expensive property will become worthless. The "managed retreat" will take care of itself.— October 24, 2019 7:43 a.m.

San Diego students required to take ethnic studies
There should be courses in common sense and practical math (balancing a check book, making a budget) as well as labor history. Everyone can not go to college nor do many want to. We need practical commons sense education teaching skills applicable to everyday living.— October 19, 2019 7:50 a.m.
Summer Stephan untangles herself from San Diego Republicans
Cassander & Geranium: The more things change the more they remain the same.— October 17, 2019 7:48 a.m.
Summer Stephan untangles herself from San Diego Republicans
There are few true independents. Most are closet Dems or Repubs. They hide behind the "independent" label so that they can continue to support their "brand" without having to admit to it.— October 17, 2019 7:47 a.m.
San Diego students required to take ethnic studies
Student should learn about other cultures and religions without bias or preference. Most of these courses are based in religious intolerance. Intolerance is taught in churches, synagogues, mosques, etc. The problem is that each religion teaches that their way is the one and only way. That their religion is the true one and all others are blasphemous. When one does not assimilate but clings to religious required dress and speaks in non-English languages those who speak only English and claim to be Christian become threatened. Instead of the great melting pot of many who become one we are increasingly segregating into enclaves of "our own". The current political climate empowers people to strike out at those who are different.— October 17, 2019 7:44 a.m.
