Boxing great Archie Moore’s Stockton sanctuary
The home was built in the late 50's/early 60's. I was a young lad and drove by when it was being built.— February 26, 2021 9:48 a.m.
When dining is a choice between politics and survival
Open all businesses and post the names of the businesses that have the most Covid cases. Give the people the information and let them decide what level of risk they want to take. Make the employers responsible for the care of their employees that get Covid at work. Let the attorneys sue the businesses that spread Covid.— February 21, 2021 6:48 a.m.
Conviction of Army & Navy headmaster for child abuse is overturned – updated 12-6-21
The case is being retired due to a technicality not because the judge thought he was innocent. Hopefully the third time will be the charm. I am sure he has new friends in prison.— February 17, 2021 11:20 a.m.
All kinds of boob support from SET ACTIVE, Calvin Klein, Target
Uplifting!— February 2, 2021 11:36 a.m.
Oceanside councilwoman doesn't live at 815 North Pacific Street
Just another bought-and-paid-for politician.— February 2, 2021 11:35 a.m.
La Jolla mega-mansion owner digs deep for Faulconer
Just like Pete Wilson before him. Money talks and the rest of us walk.— February 2, 2021 11:30 a.m.
Carlsbad and Encinitas rebel against restaurant lock-downs
It is interesting to listen to these restaurant owners talk about how concerned they are about their employees. Restaurant owners for decades have fought any raise in minimum wage. Most do not pay any benefits. Many take advantage of part-time laws. More that a few employ illegal immigrants and pay cash under the table. Some hold back tips. All fight like crazy any employee attempt to unionize. Now they are concerned about their employees?— January 22, 2021 7:20 a.m.
Murder charged on Nardo Street in Solana Beach
There is no doubt more to the story. It is not news that Janks pleaded not guilty as she can not do otherwise at this stage of the legal proceedings. Even if she yelled in court that she did it and refused to enter a plea and her lawyer refused to enter a plea the judge would enter a not guilty plea as he can not accept any other plea.— January 19, 2021 7:31 a.m.
Un-Boll-Weevil-ble
Way back in the day we used to go to the Boll Weevil on El Cajon Blvd. after we worked out at Vic Tanny's Gym. With burgers and beer we took care of any good we accomplished at the gym. Both are gone. Oh well, progress I guess.— December 27, 2020 3:17 p.m.
Sports Arena redeveloper delinquent on $190 million loan
This is how these multinational companies work. They will move on as soon as an investment is no longer profitable. Malls worldwide were in trouble long before Covid. Anything the City of San Diego is involved in, like Ash street, will go south and the taxpayers will be stuck with the bill. Just another reason not to live in the City of San Diego.— November 17, 2020 7:27 a.m.
