Bonus Blog: Funny Things Cats Do
That Abyssinian was a cool looking cat. Love the color and face on it. As for the Stella- I mean, Bombay cat, the only difference is that Stella's nose isn't as pug-like. Stella's is a little bit more pointed than the one in that link but still, so very similar. Even that little stare of curiosity. Wow. I get that look from her a lot.— October 19, 2009 12:13 a.m.

SD, you rock. Not sure how you did that but I like it. Thanks! Yeah, Stella is definitely a character. Very talkative. I could also sit for about 10 minutes and have a "conversation" with Alo. He loved talking. Damn, I miss that cat.— October 18, 2009 10:28 a.m.
Bonus Blog: Who Told These People They Could Write?
Aw, Stella appreciates the props, as the kids say. I'd be up for contests. I struggle with shorties like that because, well, I'm wordy but I'm always up for a writing challenge. Praying to the Reader gods now.— October 17, 2009 10:42 p.m.

AG, yes, Alo was an amazing looking cat. If I could show you a picture, I would. And yes, I was done for close to a month after losing Alo. He was only 3 years old and I had to put him to sleep or subject him to repeated vet visits about once a month for the rest of his life. And that was if he even recovered from his illness. The prospects weren't looking good and I couldn't put him through any more of it. It just killed me to see him like that. I think he's in a better place but like Stella, I miss him something fierce and it has been since the first week of August last year. SD, I would to figure out a way to build a little hammock for Stella somewhere. Like Mica, I'm sure she would dig that a good bit. And the cat tree is definitely a big hit with Stella, just as it was with Alo. I will pass on the praise to Stella. I'm sure she would appreciate it (if not be vain enough to know she deserves it... silly cat). I'm sure it will be an inspiration to write more.— October 17, 2009 9:41 p.m.

Oh, SD, you shouldn't have shown me that link. Bye, money. I have this one but it's not in front of a window. There is, however, a little perch that stands on the ground that is the perfect height for the window she enjoys so much.— October 17, 2009 5:23 p.m.

Ok, fixed the link. Thanks SD. Stella is chasing a shadow right now so I will answer your question. Alo was not a big fan of water, actually. After a shower, though, he would go in and lick the water dripping from the faucet but actually continuously getting wet, he never seemed to venture that far. Not sure why but apparently your situation with Mica is more typical than mine.— October 17, 2009 5:17 p.m.
"I KNOW you gonna dig this"
I want to read said fiction that you wrote. I tried my hand at nonfiction several times and, well, I learned I like to embellish too much. I was racking my brain to remember what happened in the '95-'96 NHL season and that's when I remembered that hockey is stupid. I didn't think so when I was a wee little lad. But as I got older and learned more about the game of hockey, I realized that it was another one of those games that can end in a tie... a HUGE sports pet peeve of mine. Such a waste of three hours, I say. And yes, it's also why I think soccer- ahem, futbol is lame, too. It's the rules that are stupid. Same rules, same feelings. Don't get me wrong, I think people that play both hockey and futbol are very talented and athletic, even more so I think than most other sports. But it's the rules and how the game is played that ruins it for me. Nothing major happened in that '95-'96 season, according to Wikipedia. I mean, a player named Cam Neeley retired (which was kind of a big thing because he was pretty good) but it looked rather uneventful. No strike, no exciting post-season, nothing. Just a big whole lotta lame hockey. So my best offer for those magazines is 1 penny for every time I've said, "Ooh, there's a hockey game on tonight!" Which is never.— October 17, 2009 3:50 p.m.

No, however her late brother was a Turkish Angora and he had britches. Does that count? What kinds of posts.... Well, here is a link to the first one she wrote ( http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Adam/230130/ ). I assume it would be things of that nature and style, though it has been a while since she wrote. At least that I know of. And if you think I'm strange for talking as if she and I have actual conversations, let alone a cat writing, well, let's just say she and I seem to have a lot of time to spend with each other. Yeah... a lot of time.— October 16, 2009 9:12 p.m.
Bonus Blog: Funny Things Cats Do
A couple of years back, my cat Stella decided she wanted to write a diary, so to speak, on a writer's website I belonged to. After a long discussion about the logistics of that, we eventually figured out a way to make it work. We got about 12 or so installments in before all hell broke loose in life and she had to stop. However, she's been eyeing me on this site, watching what I'm doing, and just yesterday came up to me and insisted (not asked, insisted... cats don't ask, they insist) that she get to write blogs here. I told her it has to be about the neighborhood she lives in, preferably, and she said that wouldn't be a problem since she sits in the window all day and feels like a neighborhood expert. How can I deny that logic? I keep checking my email inbox (because that's how she sends the installment to post) but haven't received anything yet. If I get it, I'll be sure to share with you. And if you want to read the prior ones, let me know. I should be able to find the link for them.— October 16, 2009 8:38 p.m.
