This recipe is ridiculously simple and extremely delicious. It was passed to me by word of mouth many years ago and I have been making it ever since. I always serve it on a pretty glass plate, but it would probably look even more spectacular served on a silver platter. This dish always gets oohs and aahs for presentation. I usually serve this with crackers that are not too salty, but it's equally yummy served with fresh vegetables, especially carrots, cauliflower and celery.
Ingredients
- 8 ozs Package rectangular wrapped cream cheese
- 16 ozs Container Pilgrim Joe's whole Cranberry Sauce
- Fresh Mint sprigs
Instructions
Turn out one 8 oz. block of cream cheese onto your plate of choice, making sure to keep the block in the shape of a rectangle (so it will look like a present.) Let the cheese sit out at room temperature for about 15 minutes to make sure that it is soft enough to dig your crackers into without breaking them. Pour the cranberry sauce evenly over the cream cheese. It's fine if it runs down onto the plate. Garnish with mint sprigs. Serve with crackers or veggies.
