Located at one end of the Del Mar Plaza, this spot boasts a sizeable patio and a reputation for above-average sushi preparation. The menu of Japanese tapas runs page after page, and some of the dishes are quite good, but really it’s the elegantly prepared nigiri that steals the show. Don’t go for just the yellowtail and tuna, because the preparations of “shiny” fish are on point.
It’s worth exploring to find out just how much better a quality bottle of junmai daiginjo is than the $7 carafe of generic hot sake from a box.
