The Rabbit Hole
3377 Adams Avenue, San Diego, CA 92116
Normal Heights sports bar fills the menu with coronary-inducing dishes like ground brisket burgers, bacon-wrapped meatloaf, and pastrami/mac 'n' cheese sandwiches. Good stuff if you're distancing yourself from any semblance of a diet. Still, it's the smoked duck wings that come across as the winner. Duck wings are a tough dish to do well, since the sinewy wings are low on meat to begin with, but Rabbit Hole's manage to strike a fine balance of crispy fried wing outside, and tender slow-cooked duck morsels inside.
