Monzu Fresh Pasta
Opened May 2018 in the locale that formerly hosted Café Paris and Rustic Tapas and Meatballs, Monzu Fresh Pasta is a family-owned eatery specializing in a wide variety of fresh pastas crafted using the techniques of Italy’s master pasta makers, plus an assortment of imported Italian foods and raw pastas for those looking to bring the experience home. Among the dining menu are staples like fried Raviolo Fritto Cacio e Pepe and Signature Neapolitan Scarpiello alongside pasta flights, daily specials, and weekly-changing regional recipes. Several dishes cater to dairy-free, low-gluten and vegan diets such as Pici with vegan Pesto of the Day.
Rotating daily specials include crispy fried stuffed ravioli, chocolate-filled ravioli, and novel pasta cupcakes. A storefront offers imported specialty foods like extra virgin olive oil, panettone, gnocchi, taralli, and San Diego products including Farv’s Pickles.
