A former social media coordinator for Stone Brewing Co. leveraged Kickstarter funding to hire brewers from Ballast Point, Monkey Paw, and Eureka’s Lost Coast Brewery to open this company, which specializes in beers that buck traditional style guidelines. The beers are palatable, but even free of BJCP requirements, they sometimes come up a bit short. With a design motif bringing together books and their contents in creative ways, plus a Post-It collage of epic proportion, the tasting room is a sight to behold.
