Jinya Ramen Bar
825 Garnet Avenue, San Diego, CA 92109
One of over a dozen Jinyas in the United States alone, this Pacific Beach noodle shop differentiates itself from its competitors by diversifying its ramen selection. With chicken and pork broths plus cloudy, clear, and everywhere in between, there’s no shortage of choices. On the whole, the ramen is good, though not tops for San Diego’s noodle market. Delicate palates will appreciate the Tokyo Yatai ramen, with its translucent broth, but the more popular Cha Cha Cha and black garlic tonkotsu ramens better define what the place is about, especially when augmented with fresh garlic provided free of charge.
