Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Extension Building

The extension is the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum's showcase for rotating exhibitions.
Its bay windows feature displays about old Chinatown, Chinese medicine, and everyday life in China. A statue of the First Emperor by renowned artists Guo Xuanchang and Cheng Yunxian guards the front door. Inside, a large gallery designed by Joseph Wong is also a lecture hall where authors, artists, and scholars regale museum patrons.
Visitors may peruse a library of books in Chinese and English, enjoy intricate models of old Chinatown buildings, and browse through the museum store.
