This just-okay barbecue joint doesn’t offer much in the way of a distinctive barbecue style. Almost every option is uniformly average — ”not bad, but far from good” would be an accurate summation. The St. Louis-style pork ribs seem to be the best option, but the overpowering smokiness common to all the meats doesn’t leave much room for subtext. A tacky decor and too many TVs sap any charm from the dining room, so (should you find yourself here) the best bet is to take one of the patio seats and watch Fifth Avenue life unfold in all its seedy glory.
